Important Things You Should Know

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

The diverse clients come to us with a wide range of presenting concerns. Some may want to talk about normal developmental issues, such as identity, academic stress, or relationship concerns. Other clients might be dealing with more specific concerns, such as depression, anxiety, sleep disruption, body and eating concerns, trauma and post-traumatic stress symptoms, substance abuse, grief or suicidal thoughts. The professional team will help identify the concern and provide ways of coping and increase self-awareness.

Sometimes it might not be clear where to start or what to talk about. Before starting a session, you are encouraged to list the main challenges you are facing. In addition, prepare the questions you need addressed.
Below are a few things that might be helpful to get the most out of your therapy:

  1. Don’t pretend to be okay. It’s okay to talk about things that feel embarrassing or scary;
  2. Regularly attend your sessions and take an active part in them;
  3. Be prepared for each session and be ready to focus on a problem or issue;
  4. Work collaboratively with your counselor;
  5. Be open and honest with your counselor about how the sessions are going for you, particularly if you don’t think you’re being helped;

Ask questions. If your therapist is talking about something you do not understand, or you feel uncertain about a particular suggestion, ask questions.

We charge a professional fee. Additional sessions will be billed and communicated in advance. Charges for each session range between 500/- to 1,000/- (Minimum session duration is between 30min to 60min)
